The John Quinn Regatta ‘23
Monmouth University Sailing hosted the John Quinn Regatta, September 16th, 2023. 8 schools competed on the Shrewsbury River in FJ’s. This regatta was a qualifier for the War Memorial & Luce Trophy. The following schools competed: George Washington, Princeton, WAC, Kings Point, Drexel, Monmouth, University of Delaware, & Rutgers.
A Skipper: Sarah Ward with alternate crews Maddie Woolley & Isabella Hughes.
B skippers Abby Eck & Patrick Cashin with alternate crews Cheyenne Fair & Joe Bitterman.

WAC Fall Open ‘23
Monmouth traveled to Chestertown, MD to the Washington College Fall Open for another qualifier event on October 14-15th, 2023. Monmouth placed 11th out of 16 teams and qualified for the Luce Trophy for the first time since 2019.
The following schools competed in this qualifier: St. Mary’s, Navy, Hampton, Princeton, Drexel, WAC, Loyola, Monmouth, Rutgers, UMD, UMD Baltimore, UD, U. Pitt.
A skipper Isabella Hughes competed with alternate crews Maddie Woolley & Gianna Krezel.
B skipper Patrick Cashin competed with crew Cheyenne Fair.
Luce Trophy ‘23
Monmouth traveled to Fort Monroe, VA for the Luce Trophy hosted by Christopher Newport University on October 21st-22nd, 2023. Monmouth has not qualified for this event since 2019, so this was a big accomplishment!
Monmouth was 1 out of 15 schools to compete in this event. The following colleges competed alongside us: Hampton, CNU, Princeton, Drexel, Syracuse, RIT, VT, UVA, Hamilton College, Penn State, WAC, William & Mary, Stony Brook, MU, & Loyola.
